Recipe: Monte Cristo Sandwich

1-2 Slices Manda Ham
1-2 Slices Manda Honey Turkey or Cajun Prize Spicy Turkey
1-2 Slices Swiss Cheese
2 Slices Bread
1 Egg
1 cup Flour
1 cup Water
1½ tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Powdered Sugar
Raspberry Jelly

Make a sandwich in the following order (from bottom to top): bread, ham, cheese, turkey, bread. Cut the sandwich into fourths and hold each quarter together with a toothpick.

Mix the water, egg, and salt in a bowl. Add the flour and baking powder and mix well.

Heat 5 inches of oil in a pot (or frying pan) to 350o. Dip each quarter into the prepared batter. Fry each quarter until golden brown. Top with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry jelly on the side.
