Recipe: Open-faced Ham & Mozzarella Melt (Italian Style)

Sliced Manda Ham
Sliced Mozzarella Cheese
French Bread
1 can Whole Tomatoes
3 cloves Garlic
2 tbs Olive Oil
Dried Italian Seasoning

In a blender of food processor, add the tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil. Sprinkle in desired amount of Italian seasoning and blend until tomatoes are smooth. Cut the French bread in half lengthwise. Lay the two pieces side by side, be sure to keep each piece separate (open faced). Spread the tomato sauce on each piece. Top each piece with ham slices followed by Swiss cheese slices. Cut the melts into 1-inch slices, keeping the bread in loaf shape (this allows you to cut the sandwich before the cheese is melted). When ready to serve, heat in oven so that bread is crisp and cheese is melted (350° for 3-5 minutes).
